Mike Mindel is a founder and engineer. He co-founded Wordtracker with his brother Andy in 1998 and led its technology as it grew from two developers to a team of around 25. Wordtracker helped define keyword research and is still going nearly three decades later.

Mike now builds AI skills, agents and the solid Python systems underneath them. Through Stride >>>, he helps people turn clear ideas into real, working software without losing the thread.

Mike Mindel is the co-founder of Wordtracker, the original keyword research tool. He and his brother Andy started it in 1998, before search had become an industry of its own. Mike led the technology as the company grew from two developers to a team of around 25, and helped build the systems behind keyword data at serious scale.

Wordtracker's idea is still simple: what people type into search boxes tells you what they need. It began with Google searches. The same principle now applies to prompt bars in answer engines such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.

These days Mike is building Stride, an agentic-engineering tool and way of working. He combines AI skills and agents with solid Python systems, clear constraints and proper checks. The aim is to help people, including non-engineers, make real apps that hold together after the first demo.

Outside technology, Mike has co-developed the Wam Bam Club, London's largest burlesque cabaret show, co-produced the psychological horror film Don't Let Him In, and writes and performs spoken word and stand-up.
